The last post featured the first coaster l photographed back in 1985, so this one is the very latest coaster captured earlier this month at Wicklow port. The vessel was Clarity, which arrived from Dublin port on the evening of Wednesday 3rd of September, to load out a cargo of recyclable metals at the Packet pier.
The Damen Comi-Freighter 3850 type was built in 2011 in a Netherlands yard as the Calypso. She called Wicklow port under this name in March 2019, to discharge a cargo of reservoir filtration sand at the north quay berth from Fowey.
In 2022 the ship took her present name after being acquired by Faversham shipping, and sails under the Isle of Man flag. She departed two days later on Friday night for Mersey.
