Faversham Shipping’s Verity was the first commercial caller of the year to Wicklow port. The 91-metre coaster arrived early on Thursday 3rd January, to load a cargo of recyclable metals at the Packet pier. She sailed at high tide on Friday evening for Avonmouth. Verity was built in 2001 by Tille Shipyard at Kootsertille in Holland as the Estime. She was acquired by Union Shipping and was a regular caller with packaged timber cargoes as the Union Mercury. Today she is registered at Douglas in the Isle of Man and is always in immaculate condition.
