‘Come on the Manntan’

It’s Regatta Monday here in Wicklow, which means Skiff Racing all day, with Clubs from along the East Coast hoping to win, especially the Senior Races that take place around teatime. The new St Manntan V will make it’s debut today and we wish the crew’s all the best in the races.
We should also have a visit and debut at the Regatta by the Wicklow RNLI all-weather lifeboat Jock & Annie Slater.
A very nice touch by Wicklow Sailing Club yachts which are dressed overall, they add a slash of colour to the harbour during the races.
We should see the Irish Ferries W.B Yeats sail past after 5pm on the way to Cherbourg, the third vessel making it’s debut at Wicklow Regatta today.
